Located in an historic mid-century building in Palm Springs sophisticated Uptown Design District, TRIO is lively and up beat all year round. Locals (Trio’s regulars) love its varied menu combining traditional Midwest comfort food with a California contemporary edge like Yankee Pot Roast, Calamari with Thai Dipping Sauce, Braised Lamb Shank, and Roasted Baby Beet Salad.


TRIO’s decor matches the mood of the crowd with vibrant splashes of color, creative lighting and an amazing art collection.


Since opening in 2009, Trio has generated recognition as one of Palm Springs top Restaurants and hot spots by numerous life style and travel publications and websites. The restaurant is also listed as TripAdvisor’s Top 10 Percent of Restaurants Worldwide, is a Zagat highly-rated restaurant, and has been local favorite since opening day.

TRIO draws a diverse crowd all day long the eatery is often filled with “ladies who lunch” country club set who feel that Trio is worth the drive from other down-valley cities. Evenings draw group of every type of people from all age ranges. TRIO hosts corporate events, wedding rehearsal dinners, and bachelor and bachelorette parties. It’s one big party at TRIO. It can be a little loud with music and chat, but everyone has fun! Mark VanLannen, Executive Chef / Owner,

Mark has enjoyed a successful career for over 25 years in the restaurant industry. Mark has owned a number of different restaurants in Door County Wisconsin such as the Village café, a local hot spot for breakfast and lunch and would feature nightly traditional Door county fish boils.Mark has been a resident of Palm Springs for 5 year’s currently working with the Palm springs High School Art’s program as a mentor to kids that have interests in the culinary world.

Tony Marchese, General Manager / Owner,

Tony has been an entrepreneurial executive with 25 years of sales and management, marketing and branding for start up and established businesses. Tony previously owned and operated a real estate company in Chicago. Rhumba Brazilian restaurant (voted ‘Top 20 ‘Chicago Magazine ) and two high profile night clubs.  Tony co owns Trio Restaurant with his partner Mark. Currently on the boards of Aids Assistance program, Palm springs Hospitality Association & Restaurant week board.
